Welcome to scottish-rail.co.uk, an online pictorial hobby on Scotland's Railways, Past and Present.

The purpose of this site is to provide somewhere for anyone with an interest in the Railways of Scotland to visit - to be informed, be entertained and also have the opportunity to have a say on related topics of their choosing.

The word ‘pictorial’ is used often on this site; yours truly won no prizes for his English and is a keen photographer, so every opportunity will be taken to present items in picture here. The first example of this is the after effects of the derailment at Camelon, Falkirk here. Soon I will put together the materials I have on Glasgow’s Blue Trains here. I've put together a bit about the Glasgow to Falkirk electrification and the effects felt in Falkirk here.

Anyone who wishes to contribute to the site in any way will be very welcome, full credit will be given accordingly. Please use this contact link.

Enjoy it. AA.
